BPI invests in Horangi, a company offering cybersecurity solutions and built for Asia’s SMEs.
Horangi offers end-to-end CCS (Cloud Cybersecurity) solutions for cloud-native companies at various scales. Its core product, Warden, is a cloud security platform that protects organizations using the public cloud, complemented by an elite team of cybersecurity experts providing CREST-accredited offensive and strategic cybersecurity services to customers around the world. The company currently serves almost 200 clients of various sizes ranging from start-ups to tech giants across a dozen countries, with a particular focus on industries like Technology, Finance, and Healthcare.
Horangi has differentiated itself from the competition as it has created a product that is designed to fit the Asian market’s compliance requirements and organizational needs for multi-cloud, while also focusing on a user experience that is affordable and easy to use for SMEs. At BPI, we believe in backing teams that build world-class product, layered with institutional execution. Paul and Kevin bring years of experience from Palantir, Grab, and GIC, and have brought together a fantastic team of engineers to solve some of the hardest cybersecurity problems. Moreover, the investment in Horangi, in addition to the earlier ones in Nord Security and Expel, completes BPI’s triad of cybersecurity investments across our major geographies: Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Not lastly due to the collaboration with Hubert Burda Media’s in-house cybersecurity team – which faces consistent real world attacks on a daily basis – we believe that this unique combination of investment and technical acumen will be helpful in driving growth over the next few years.
“ BPI not only engaged with us on the investment side, but also involved their parent company’s technology leadership who understood the security issues we help solve, and added a lot of value during the process.“
Kevin Lee, Chairman of Horangi
